Why Flexing Those Creative Muscles can Lead to Profits
If you look around at the internet there are thousands of people who give themselves the title of internet marketer, or product developer, and struggle to bring their products to market, running out of time and money, and why a little creative flair can change all that.
If you define the word creative you'll be able to identify certain family members and friends as fitting the description of being creative, and I'm told that I'm of them. When I went to school, the subjects included the mandatory curriculum such as maths, sciences, and English which I really enjoyed, but other than art, the creative arts were very minimal, with creative acumen not being developed or raised to any kind of standard, and as a result I left school and worked in retail, before moving onto law enforcement, and then self employment. So what has this got to do with internet marketing and product developing you might ask? Well, schools these days are now even more fixated on academia and results based learning, it is after all how they gain funding, and as such there is a tendency to produce the absolute pass or fail type mentality within people, where the once discretionary attitudes with it's many shades of gray have contrasted to a more black and white brought on by legislation and thinking enforcement. Our creative sides have been taught logic and as a result many people are conflicted, and dare not step to the path of entrepreneurialism for fear of failure, and the chance of getting something wrong, or take tentative steps and make little or no progress, and worst of all, create products and never get them to market. Think back to when we were younger, when our imaginations ran wild, we said and did what we thought and failure was not an option. Don't see that type of mindset right now as childish or irresponsible and the 'Now that I'm an adult' type attitude, embrace it and use it. People everywhere need to re-awaken their creative sides, coupled with the knowledge of good business and strategy. Never fear failure, never listen to the nay-sayers and just carry on like you're learning to ride your bike again. The more projects you complete and bring to market, the better you will get and once the creative juices start to flow, there'll be no stopping you. To highlight my point, Sir Ken Robinson, eloquently illustrates the issue, in an amazing video that you'll be able to watch on Friday. _____________________________________________________ Remember that the site launches this Friday which includes:
