We all know the world is becoming more censored and sterile, even TV programs like The Fall Guy now come with a “you may be offended” warning, so hail glory to one car manufacturer that’s still making real cars.
.
Ferrari just launched its rather marvellous new Amalfi on the world, and it’s about as far from an electric soak as you can get without jumping straight into a ditch.
We Still Love V8’s And Cool Interiors
Instead, they’ve chucked in a 3.9‑litre twin‑turbo V8 that sings and snarls with 640 bhp and 760 Nm of torque, hurtling you to 62 mph in just 3.3 seconds and on to a top speed of 198mph. No batteries. No electric motors. Just pure, unadulterated petrol, thank heavens…
Ferrari has taken the old Roma, given it facelifts most cosmetic surgeons would envy, basically every panel except the glasshouse, and tuned the engine for sharper punch in third and fourth gear.
There’s a slick new ECU, lighter camshafts, and clever ducts in the headlights that feed the turbos like an athlete’s lungs. The result? A 0–124 mph time improved by over half a second. It’s the V8 you dream of, not the one your gran will insist sounds “efficient.”
Step inside and Ferrari has finally seen sense: proper buttons on the steering wheel, a tactile start/stop, and an infotainment screen that doesn’t require a PhD to operate. It’s sensible without being boring, luxurious without being a spaceship, and hasn’t got any of that EV soullessness. You don’t even need to carry a haystack to charge it.
What’s This Got To Do With Online Business?
Let me be blunt: this has bugger all to do with building an online business, (ok it’s a great lesson on branding) unless you redefine “online” as blasting through mountain passes.
But it does give you something to work towards, getting serious about your intentions. A goal, a dream, a reason to sell your MI5 shares and stop buying NFTs. You think running a website is tough? Try hustling for enough dosh to park one of these metal masterpieces in your driveway.
One might say electric cars are the future. Do we want a future of pea‑souper grey, silent, and heavy enough to kill pedestrians? Not this…
The Amalfi is Ferrari’s response: a vibrant, petrol‑fuelled rejoinder that says, “We still love the noise. We still love the smell. And we absolutely love the ride.” It’s a declaration: we may have to embrace EVs in 2026, but not this one. Not yet.
So, what else do I need to flesh this out? Weight? Cornering g-forces? Brake‑by‑wire wizardry? Let me know. But if you ask me, just hearing that V8 burble is motivation enough, both to write another blog post and to dream of that glorious morning when, with a hasty business pivot, you drive off in red‑hot magnificence.
Long live the V8, long live choice and freedom.
