How To Build Your Business Fast
(U Can’t Touch This…)
Most people who start a new venture, want to build it fast, so this week I’m going to give you a proven framework to build your business or be profitable with your Trading quickly.
Step 1:
For Online Business Owners, find something to promote, the means to promote it, and somewhere to capture people’s names and email addresses (so a sales funnel and email autoresponder.)
For Traders, you’ll need Trading View, MT4 (or equivalent) a simple strategy, and some seed money in your Broker account.
Step 2:
Stay committed to the strategy you started with in step 1.
Step 3:
Give yourself 12 months to see results.
The key here is the interpretation of the word Fast…
When you built a traditional business in the days before the Internet, the rule of thumb was not to expect a substantial profit for 2 years until the business gained traction.
I always remember MC Hammer (U Can’t Touch This…) being interviewed around 1991 about his rapid rise to fame and musical success and he said it took 2 years. But Hammer worked his ass off in the music business to achieve that.
Since then he has diversified into other projects and businesses including movie production and Mixed Martial Arts management.
On a side note, I was a big MC Hammer fan and I asked my mum, who was a good dressmaker, to make me a pair of MC Hammer trousers. She agreed to the trousers but she was just a bit too busy to get them made. It’s only until now, 32 years later I realise why..!
Anyhow, here’s the takeaway for this week…
If you want to build fast, concentrate on ONE system or strategy until you become profitable.
The skills we need to learn in business are simple, yet we complicate things in the quest for speed.
So it makes no sense at all to promote another product before you’re profitable with the first because the commonality factor is YOU, not the product. You and the skills you have creates the profit, not the product, service, system, or strategy…
This leads me to the final point relating to step 3, and giving yourself long enough to succeed.
Most people in traditional Network Marketing last 82 days on average before giving up. With online businesses that number is 90 days on average, which is a huge shame because if more people worked a little longer, and believed in themselves they would see success.
For some people, fast is next week, for others 3, 6, 9, 12 even 24 months perhaps 5 years time. But I can tell you, that the time you spend learning new skills implemented into 24 months of work to gain your freedom is better than working until you’re 75 years old or dropping down dead on you’re way to another shift at work.
The good news is (yes there’s good news) if you’re reading this and you’ve been in the trenches for longer than 6 months, keep going because you’re on your way.
Time to find me some Hammer pants…
