Unleash Your Creativity
Children learn because they are always asking questions…
Adults tend to do the opposite by NOT asking too many questions – and therein lies the problem. By suppressing our inbuilt curiosity, we also limit our creativity.
Try this exercise.
Next time you're walking around the shops or the supermarket look at the products being sold. Look at the labelling design the size and shape of the product, and ask yourself ; “why did they do that?” and “how does it make me feel?”
Do the same with newspaper ads and of course landing and sales pages. By observing things from a creative and marketing perspective, you will begin to understand the psychology of design.
How it makes you feel, who it was designed for and how you could improve things.
It's also a huge advantage to keep a swipe file of things that capture your attention by bookmarking web pages and take pictures on your phone.
Doing this will develop your creativity and help you understand your audience. In addition, it will focus your marketing, branding and help you stand out from the crowd.
