As you document and begin to reflect, you will see your own progress in black and white, building your self belief and confidence in what you're doing.
Some of these developments will be so SIGNIFICANT they will shock you.
Let me tell you a quick story…
Before I started my filmmaking degree back in 2010, I thought I was a good filmmaker. In the first year of the course we had to produce a short film.
The film I made was well-received by the teachers and students and I got top marks.
So a year later, I looked back at the film and was shocked at how BAD it was overall..!
What hit me like a ton of bricks was the progress I had made, because, until that point, I didn't think I was getting much value from the course.
This is why it's SO important to document your journey in business.
When you see tangible progress for yourself, that often becomes the point when many people have the CONFIDENCE to document their journey on social media.
The real test is to step out and do it before you feel confident.
Documenting your journey online is THE most powerful attraction tool you can use to build a business and your personal brand.
Furthermore, it will attract your ideal audience.
Telling people how you overcame challenges demonstrates your vulnerability and empathy towards their journey. It's developing know, like and trust on the fast track by anchoring connections they can relate to.
Engage with your audience on that level, by utilising the simple task of documenting your journey and you'll develop a business you never thought possible.
