After finally stepping out of the office for a much-needed walk with Angus, I was reminded how important it is to get into nature. Taking a moment to appreciate the fresh air and the simple joys of life is essential, but it also reinforces a critical lesson:
If you want to build a successful business, you need to create content. No excuses.
The Truth About Tech and Overcomplication
Recently, I built a quiz funnel, and I’ll be honest, it took a lot of work to complete. Not because it was inherently difficult, but because I made it more complicated than it needed to be. Sound familiar..?
We all do this at times, especially when tackling tech that isn’t in our comfort zone. But the reality is, tech is just a tool. If you want to grow, you can’t let tech be the excuse that holds you back.
Are You Playing Small?
A while ago, I watched a video of a colleague saying, “For so long, I felt like I was playing small, not reaching my full potential.” That hit home…
I think every Online Business Owner, no matter how successful they appear, feels this at some point. We know we can do more. The challenge isn’t about having more resources or skills, it’s about actually putting in the work and finding ways to be more productive.
I spent time building out my Academy, setting up funnels, and marketing strategies. But at a certain point, you have to stop building and start creating. It’s easy to get caught up in preparation mode, tweaking details and refining processes, but nothing replaces taking action.
The key is simple: Create content consistently.
Content Is Non-Negotiable
If you’re in an online business and you don’t like creating content, then you’re in the wrong game. That may sound harsh, but it’s the truth. Content is what drives visibility, builds trust, and ultimately grows your business. You can’t rely on shortcuts or think AI will do it all for you.
And speaking of AI, I’ve tested AI-driven funnels. They work, to an extent. But relying entirely on AI without understanding marketing, audience engagement, and branding is a mistake. AI is a tool, not a substitute for real expertise and effort.
Excuses vs. Action
One of the biggest roadblocks I see in people is the mindset of being “overwhelmed.” But let’s be honest—most of the time, it’s not overwhelm, it’s just avoidance. People label their hesitation as feeling overwhelmed when, in reality, they’re procrastinating. They don’t want to do the work. The truth is, if you want to succeed, you need to push through even when you don’t feel like it.
There’s no way around it: Success requires consistency. Even when you don’t feel like showing up, you have to do it. That’s the difference between those who build thriving businesses and those who stay stuck.
Finding Your Flow
Content creation gets easier when you get into the rhythm. The hardest part is starting. But once you get going, it’s like warming up an engine. That’s why batch-creating content is powerful. You record one video, then another, and before you know it, you’re in the zone, producing multiple pieces of content effortlessly.
Find what works for you. Some people work best in their home office, while others thrive in coffee shops. But whatever your method, you need a daily plan—a structure that keeps you moving forward instead of getting lost in distractions.
For me, that’s using “Let’s Goal” – a tool that helps me stay focused and productive. Instead of opening emails or scrolling social media first thing, I dive into my task list, knocking things off one by one. It creates momentum, and momentum breeds success.
AI Won’t Save You—Your Effort Will
There’s a growing misconception that AI will solve all business problems. Yes, AI can assist, but it won’t replace the effort required to build something meaningful. If you let AI handle everything, your content will blend in with the sea of generic, uninspired material flooding the internet. People do business with people, not robots.
Branding isn’t just about automation—it’s about authenticity. If you’re relying on AI to generate all your emails and videos, you’ll lose the personal touch that makes your business unique. Your audience can tell the difference between genuine expertise and a copy-paste AI script.
Take Action Now
Most people don’t take action. That’s the harsh reality. They get excited, sign up for programs, and learn new strategies, but when it comes to execution, they stall. If you actually start creating and publishing content, you’ll already be ahead of 98% of people who never do anything.
If you feel like you’ve been playing small, if you’re tired of waiting for the “right time,” then the answer is simple: Start now. Create content. Make an impact. Build your brand.
